What’s Netto?

OUR STORY
1950s coffee culture. Modern specialty quality.
In the 1950s, the coffee break was becoming a familiar part of North American life. The invitation was straightforward: put the work down for a few minutes. Have a coffee.
There’s something we like about that.
Coffee gave you a reason to stop, sit down and talk to whoever was beside you. You could enjoy the whole experience without making coffee your entire personality.
NETTO brings that everyday ease together with the flavour, freshness and careful roasting we expect from modern specialty coffee.
WHY WE STARTED
FROM THE CUSTOMER SIDE OF THE COUNTER
We started on the customer side of the counter. We wanted excellent coffee we could afford to keep buying. Coffee with real flavour, carefully roasted, fresh and consistent from one bag to the next.
We also wondered how much of the price was paying for everything around it.
The elaborate packaging. The manufactured prestige. The paragraph that somehow turns buying beans into an act of heroism.
So we built the coffee company we wanted to buy from.
NETTO puts its attention into the beans, the roasting and what ends up in your cup. We keep the packaging practical, the choices clear and the unnecessary costs down. The aim is to make specialty coffee something you drink every day, at a price you can keep coming back to.
Responsible sourcing belongs in that work. We take it seriously, and any claims we make should come with useful evidence.
We’re here for people who care about quality, know what they enjoy and would quite reasonably prefer to pay less for it.
OUR MISSION
Make perfect coffee less expensive.
NETTO. “Caffè Perfetto.”
